Common towing situations
Accident or collision aftermath
Vehicle is drivable-but-shouldn't-be or fully disabled. Note the safety flag when you request — a tow operator with the right equipment will be dispatched.
Won't-start, beyond a jump
Battery is fully dead, alternator failed, or the starter is gone. Our service provider tows to your shop of choice — or recommends one nearby.
Wrong fuel or fluid contamination
Diesel in a gas tank, or vice versa. The right move is a tow to a shop that can drain the tank safely, not roadside drain attempts.

How much will the tow cost?
Road Ally calculates the price from pickup-to-destination mileage and equipment type; you see the full amount before authorising payment. Operators don't change the rate on-site and there are no add-ons mid-tow.
Can you tow to my mechanic?
Yes. Set the destination address when you request — your own shop, your home, or a recommended location.
Is the tow operator insured?
Yes. All Road Ally tow operators must be commercially insured and verified before they can accept jobs.
Can I ride with my car?
Most operators can carry one or two passengers depending on truck. Mention it in additional notes and the Ally will confirm on accept.
